Meet Attorney Dusty Twyman-Morey
Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator
Attorney Dusty L. Twyman-Morey received her Juris Doctorate from Emory University School of Law in 1998, and was admitted to the Florida Bar that same year.
On February 14, 2000, she opened her own law firm in Winter Garden, Florida, and has practiced as a solo practitioner for the majority of her legal career. Dusty is now a dedicated Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator. Dusty had an active family law litigation practice, as well as an active family law mediation practice until 2025, when she made the decision to transition solely into family law mediation. She is also collaboratively trained. She utilizes her knowledge, training, courtroom experience, mediator experience, and her understanding and implementation of interest-based option building, to assist parties in resolving their family law matters without the necessity of going to court.

Attorney Dusty Twyman-Morey was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1998 and has remained an active member in good standing since that time. She received an award in 2026, recognized as Lawyer of the Year as a Family Law Mediator in Florida. She received an award in 2024 from Elite Lawyer for Divorce & Family Law. She was recognized in the 2023 Edition of Best Lawyers, having also received this distinction for 2020 and 2021. In 2023, she is also recognized in Top Lawyers of Florida by The Legal Network, having also received this distinction in prior years since 2013, for representing the "Highest in Ethical Standards and Professional Excellence." In 2023, she was again recognized by Lawyers of Distinction for her excellence in family and divorce law, an honor she also received from 2020 through 2022. In 2023, she was also named an Elite Lawyer in Family Law. Dusty now is a full-time Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator. During her litigation practice, she was an active member of the Central Florida Collaborative Family Law Institute and a long-time member of the Central Florida Family Law Inns of Court, where she held the designation of Barrister. Dusty is a former president of the Lake County Bar Association, Family Law Division. Dusty brings her extensive knowledge and experience as a family law attorney into her role as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator. Drawing from her years of experience in the courtroom, as a litigator, and also from her training as a collaborative attorney, as a mediator, she is able to generate creative options and assist the parties in reaching resolution. She enjoys her role as a mediator because from her experience over nearly three decades, mediation provides for successful resolution of family law matters, allowing the parties to make the decisions that impact the rest of their lives.

This powerhouse team of Dusty and Natasha is unlike any other. I happened to come across Dusty in a google search desperate for the right person to help me navigate my divorce. In my first conversation with her, I knew she was it. Words don't do her and Natasha justice. Dusty doesn't miss a beat. She KNOWS her stuff, to every detail. She isnt afraid of those attorneys who have like to say alot but do very little. If it wasn't for her, I don't believe I would have equal timesharing of the children. How do you put into words the appreciation you owe a person who gave you back your life? I was overwhelmed, broken, and downright crushed the day I walked into Dusty's office. From moment 1, she told me it would be ok. She prepared me for what was to come (good and bad). She talked to me in terms I could understand, but most importantly, she cared about me. I needed that. I was a father struggling and fighting just to have basic rights and time with my sons. It was David vrs Goliath, and I was David. Up against a legal team....literally a team of attorneys that Dusty took on without a hint of intimidation. She knew the law, she knew my rights, and she fought for me like a mother fights for a son. This case stretched over different jurisdictions, in different states, and Dusty handled the complexity with a passion and determination I have honestly never seen. I started with a different law firm and was going no where. I was refers to Dusty Twyman law firm and it was a blessing. Ms. Twyman did not tell me what I was going to get , as the law firm I started with. She explained to me what she was going to do on the consultation that we had before I started with her. After Ms. Twyman fixed all that was wrong from the first law firm and got it all fixed in the court.
Then the worst thing that could happen to a parent happened! I sent the information to Ms. Twyman in an email , this was an after hour matter, and Ms. Twyman called me and told me to trust her and let her do her job. I was reluctant and emotions were running high. I took a deep breath and told her I would let her do her job. She fought every battle and told me to keep trusting her. I did.
In the end Ms Twyman and Natasha Twyman are the best. They got me through the battle and won the war for the most important person in my life. I cannot thank them enough.
